The Water Feature Of Your Dreams
Imagine relaxing by a tranquil water garden every time you come home from a hard,
stressful day at work. Your own peaceful retreat complete with beautiful exotic
plants, colorful fish, cascading waterfalls, and a meandering stream. It's about
time to stop dreaming and start Enjoying the Lifestyle!
Do It Yourself vs. Hire A Professional
After you made the excellent decision to make your dream a reality, there is another
important decision you need to consider. Do you want to build the feature yourself,
or hire a specialist to build it for you?
Let's face it, building a pond is not an easy task. It is back-breaking work lifting
heavy boulders and digging through rock- and root-ridden soil. Why take the risk
of injury when you could have a fully insured team of specialists build it for you.
Besides, the whole idea of a tranquil water feature is to relax, not to cause stress
and discomfort.
Having the professionals design and install your pond may also save you a lot of
time. You probably have more important things to do with your time than worry about
if you dug the right depth or if the pipe is connected correctly. Most do-it-yourself
pond projects take almost a month or more to build; a professional team of builders
can build a feature in one or two days!
Usually the most important reason to build a pond yourself is to save money. And
you will save money... initially. A pond built by a specialist should be covered
with a warranty. When you build a pond yourself, it is not covered under any warranties,
so if there is a design flaw or a leak, you may have to spend more money for a professional
to fix it than it would have cost to have them build it in the first place.
When in doubt, call a design specialist. You may pay a little money, but they will
be able to help you decide whether you should do it yourself, hire a professional,
or work with a professional to guide you through the building process. They will
also help you with the best design that will fit your yard and be exactly what you've
been dreaming about.
Types of Water Features
- Ecosystem Pond - By design, an ecosystem pond closely resembles
natural ponds, streams, and waterfalls since the components works with Mother Nature
to create a balanced ecosystem and good water quality. These ponds are easy to maintain
and integrate the joy of owning fish with the pleasure of water gardening. The ponds
are built with safety in mind and will blend in perfectly to your existing landscape.
- Pondless Waterfall - The Pondless Waterfall is great for someone
who enjoys the sight and sound of water, but does not have room for a full size
pond. It is also a perfect solution for people with small children since there is
no pool of water to cause a drowning hazard. A Pondless Waterfall is less expensive
than a full pond and requires much less maintenance since there are no fish and
the water quality isn't as important.
- Water Fountain - This option is great for small areas and
brings that missing element of tranquility to your garden. Fountains can be used
in several different ways such as accenting your entire yard with a six foot overflowing
clay urn or bringing serenity to your patio with a container water garden.
The Installation Process
Building a pond may seem really basic, but a properly installed ecosystem pond will
look natural and keep any maintenance to a minimum. There are several steps we take
to ensure the highest quality for your water feature.
A Well Designed Water Feature
We take the design process of water features very seriously. After all, a well designed
water feature will give you years of enjoyment, but a poorly designed feature will
just give you headaches. Before we even begin digging, we make sure the area is
free of underground pipes and wires by calling a local utility locator. We help
you select the type of feature you want, where it will go, how it will integrate
with the rest of the yard, the size, the shape, the type of stone, and several other
decisions to make sure it will be the feature of your dreams.

The Installation Process
We follow a proven process that takes about 20 steps to ensure that your feature
is built correctly and in a short amount of time, saving you money. The entire process,
from digging to turning the waterfall on, takes about 1-2 days for standard features.
We take great care of the surrounding landscape and make sure that when we leave,
you'll barely know we were there. Most of the features we build are dug and rocked
by hand, eliminating the need for heavy equipment that could damage your lawn or
flower gardens.
